Our Story
Our founder, Dawn Hallgren, began her journey in animal rescue, providing foster care and serving as a board member for local groups in Amarillo. Inspired by years of compassion and encouraged by her father, she combined her background in accounting and business with her love for animals to raise the standard of pet care in our community.
In 2009, Le Chateau Pet Resort opened in Amarillo as the first resort of its kind. In 2020, we expanded to Wichita Falls to serve more families who wanted peace of mind while traveling or working. Today, with over 16 years of trusted experience, our mission remains the same: safe, fun, and comfortable vacations for pets, and total peace of mind for their parents.
Our Philosophy
Every pet deserves a vacation. At Le Chateau Pet Resort, we operate much like a luxury hotel—welcoming families into a boutique-style lobby, offering private suites with indoor/outdoor access, concierge-style care, supervised play, daily housekeeping, and spa pampering. Our goal is to enrich the lives of pets while giving parents confidence that their companions are in the very best hands.
