Our Beginning
Many years of compassion and service to animals began our history. Dawn Hallgren, the founder and President of Le Chateau Pet Resort was a volunteer and board member of various rescue groups in Amarillo, Texas. She provided pet care and a loving foster home for many animals in the span of a few years. These animals had a second chance and Dawn found great joy enriching their lives until they got their forever home. Watching the animals interact and socialize was fun and rewarding.
In 2008, in a time when luxury pet resorts were unheard of, her dad’s encouragement caused her to set to raise the bar in pet care. Having degrees in accounting and business combined with a passion for animals enabled her to develop a unique business plan for the time. Dawn knew there were people who adored their pets and believed she could provide value and peace of mind for pet other parents.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is every pet deserves a fun vacation! We are a luxury pet hotel. We 
operate much like a people hotel. Greeting clients in a lobby complete with
soft instrumental music, receptionists,
concierges (techs), activity coordinators (guardians), and caregivers available for night time room service. We provide daily housekeeping and even spa services like pedicures and facials!

Our purpose at Le Chateau Pet Resort is to provide pets a safe, fun, and comfortable stay so their parents can have peace of mind while away.
